My after reading review (December 01, 2018):- Martial arts without tricking is just like HTML without CSS. It adds an extra beauty to your martial arts style. Actually tricking or similar kinds of moves are used in three different fields, such as - gymnastics, hip hop dancing and martial arts.

But I am interested only in martial arts tricking. So I decided to learn some basic tricking moves. And my way to learn anything new is by reading a good book on that topic.

Finally I found that book. It's a book comes with basic tricking moves, but it's a good book. It comes with lots of colourful pictures and describes each and every moves with easy to understand language. Also I am a beginner level learner so this basic tricking book is good for me. And I forgot to mention one more thing, it comes with training videos DVD.

Learning tricking definitely is not an easy task, but once I learn all those hard but beautiful moves I shall start feeling myself a complete martial artist.

So many decision I have taken to become a superior martial arts fighter and learning tricking is one of them. I know this is not an easy journey but definitely an enjoyable journey.

My after reading review (November 24, 2018):- Power training is one of the important fitness attributes for any MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) athletes. Actually not only for MMA, but also in any sports, power training is essential. Though different sports have different types of power training drills and exercises.

Here I am interested only in power training for MMA. Because I need to increase my power to become a superior fighter. So I decided to pick up the book and read through all those pages.

In this book the author covers both striking and grappling power skills. He describes how to become a one punch knockout champion. Similarly in other hand he also mentioned the methods to improve submission power in great details.

What types of drills you need to practice, what types of tools you can use to improve your kicks and punches. All that kinds of stuffs you shall be able to find in this book. Not only that this book is also great for grapplers. After reading this book you shall come to know how to improve your throw and takedown as well as your submission and choke ability.

I have read this author's book before. One is called "Speed Training: For Combat, Boxing, Martial Arts, and MMA". Every things are okey. But one thing I don't like about his books. And that is in his book there is no figures, illustrations, though it's a sports training book. Generally fitness training books, sports books have lots of figures, illustrations in each and every pages to demonstrate drills and exercises instead of just describing in words. But the book is full of words. Sometimes I face difficulty to figure out the proper methods of different drills and exercises just by reading.
Otherwise everything is good. The book covers lots of valuable information to improve your power attributes.

My review ( October 10, 2018):- Fundamental is the basic building block to learn and master any subjects. Forgot about advanced stuffs for a moment. First one must have to have a clear basic understanding about the subject one is going to learn. Same is true for mathematics too. Try to keep it simple.

To make children strong in mathematics first we should make them strong in basic stuffs of maths. One must have to have a basic understandings of mathematics such as arithmetic, basic geometry, elementary algebra etc. to learn the advanced stuffs. That's where school mathematics comes in. The roles of lower grade school mathematics is to teach and give clear understandings to the kids about very basic and fundamental stuffs.

Here my aim to review the primary school math books is similar. I am trying to find the better way to teach children. To improve the way we teach mathematics in school. To find a much better and effective solutions of teaching and learning mathematics.

Without farther discussion, let's dive into the topics the book has been covered.
  1. Arithmetic
    • 5 digit and 6 digit numbers
    • Roman Numbers
    • Arithmetic Operations (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division)
    • Properties of Whole Numbers
    • Fractions
    • Decimal Numbers
    • Estimating
  2. Applications of Arithmetic
    • Metric System
    • Time and Calendar
  3. Geometry
    • Point, Line and Angle
    • Polygons
    • Geometrical Constructions
    • Symmetry
  4. Mensuration
    • Perimeter and Area
  5. Statistics

My after reading review ( September 13, 2018):- It's been a long time since I have not done any review of school math book. Maybe because I was quiet busy. Last time I wrote a review was a 'Standard 2' math book (check this out here:- http://readingbookhobby.blogspot.com/2018/01/book-20-mathematics-today-2.html ). This time it's 'Standard 3' ICSE Indian school board math book written by O.P. Malhotra, S.K.Gupta and Anubhuti Gangal.

The reason why I am doing this because I want to modify mathematics for children education system. That's why first and foremost I need to know what they are learning, how they are learning, what authors are including in their books etc.

In this book topics have been covered are:-

  1. 4-Digit Numbers (Counting and forming 4-digit numbers, place value and face value, comparing numbers < = > , Ascending - Descending order, Successor - Predecessor)

My after reading opinion (May 24, 2018):- Almost in any sports, speed is crucial for success. If you are an athlete and you are skipping speed training, then you are making a big mistake.Sports drills are must to include in any sport person's training schedule. This types of sports attribute makes an athlete far more superior.

It's obvious, different sports have different types of speed drills. What types of speed drills a footballer practice generally, a swimmer may not practice same speed conditioning. What a 100m runner includes in their practice schedule, a combat athlete may no list the same exercise to increase their speed attributes. Here in the above "Speed Training" book, the author includes only those types of drills which are necessary only in combat sports, such as - Boxing, Wrestling, MMA, Grappling, Jiu-Jitsu etc. What I am interested in.

After reading this book, I have learned so many valuable stuffs. Some drills are known, some are completely unknown, Some can be done as solo training, some need partners. The author covers so many different variations of speed training drills, such as - Visual Reflexes, Tactile Reflexes, Auditory Reflexes, Adaptation Speed, Initiation Speed, Movement Speed, Alteration Speed, Speed Hampering etc. It's worth reading the book. Some of the drills I might include in my training schedule, to improve my speed attribute for MMA. Overall it's a very good book.

Thank you.

My after reading opinion (May 05, 2018):- This is a short but very specific manual. There are so many equipments for agility training such as cones, hurdle, rings etc. Among them agility ladder is one of the most important and effective tool. This manual is all about agility training using ladder. Here the author covers three types of drills - Steady state, Burst speed and elastic response, comes from simple to complex pattern drill combinations.

Agility training is a must drill for any athletes to increase their multi directional quickness. This kind of abilities are necessary in any sports, and so MMA is no exception.

That's why I just purchased a good quality "Agility Ladder" and read this manual to start practicing right away.
