My after reading opinion ( December 31, 2017):- I have been a Windows user since I am using computers. But recently I have decided to start using Linux OS. Because I was unaware of the power of an open source software like Linux.
But right now I came it touch of it, gather knowledge about Linux, learn a little bit and decided to switch to Linux user. Because if you have a little bit more technical knowledge and you are not using Linux as your PCs operating system that means you are just limiting yourself. You are limiting your true potential to command and to control your own computer.

It's okey if you are a beginner computer user and you are using Windows or Mac OS X instead of Linux OS. Or probably your purpose to use a computer is just your work specific and not computing oriented. May be you are using your computer to get your work done or just for fun, entertainment, gaming and some Internet browsing etc. Then it's okey to use Windows or Mac etc.
But if you want your full control over your PC, than I recommend using Linux operating system. You are limiting yourself if you are not using Linux. Because other OS gives you a very limited and restricted options to control your one machines. And of course you need some technical knowledge and interest to play around with computing.

That's why I decided to become a Linux user. But which distro should I start?
Few popular Linux deistros
There are lots of Linux distributors out there right now. It's easy to get confused for the first time. Linux distributors or distros are just like different flavours of Linux. Some popular Linux distros are Debian, Red hat, fedora, Ubuntu, LinuxMint, Arch, OpenSusi etc. Ubuntu is one of the user friendly distros which gets popularity in a very short period of time. It comes with both easy to use GUI and CLI interfaces. Great choice both for newbies and advanced Linux users. And most importantly Ubuntu has large software center and great technical support community.

So, I decided to download and install latest Ubuntu version 16.04 LTS according to the compatibility of my PC hardware (32bit). But hey, I am new here. So get the user manual of the exact versions "Getting Started with Ubuntu 16.04" and start reading.

After finishing this user guide, get confident to use Linux. This manual is very easy to understand, practical oriented and informative. Mostly GUI interfaces, which is good for beginners has been described and also covered the basic of CLI interfaces. Also I came to know about lots of keyboard shortcuts and other useful technical stuffs. The knowledge I get from this Ubuntu user manual, is going to help me in future.

[Book 16] Curriculum Primary Level (Classes I – V)

Serial No.- 16
Curriculum Primary Level

Category:- Non-Fiction (10. Education & Reference)

Book :- Curriculum Primary Level (Classes I – V), CISCE

Author:- Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations

Language:- English

Publisher:- Research, Development and Consultancy Division (RDCD), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations

Published:- First Edition, November, 2016

No. of Pages:- 346

My after reading opinion (December 19, 2017):- This curriculum I have read before going farther to review primary school math books.
So, I shall get helpful ideas of learning those elementary level mathematics from those school kids point of view. This type of curriculum are also useful for teachers, parents of primary school kids and authors also.
Students, who are in the primary classes (I to V), are not with complete developed brain, unlike an adult person. So, their learning system also will be different from us. That's why we the authors, the teachers, the parents must understand children's school curriculum, syllabus, study materials from a kids point of view.
That is how we can improve the way we educate our kids, we can improve the teaching and learning methods. To do that we need to read this types of curriculum first.
My intention to read this curriculum was to understand the curriculum of Mathematics only. But along with mathematics, I learned other subject's curriculum too. So, I get a broad idea of primary school curriculum, such as, what we should include, what we shouldn't in their academic schedule etc.
It's an CISCE curriculum and they have included following subjects in their curriculum -
!st Language (Englist), 2nd Language (i.e. Hindi), Mathematics, Enviromental Studies (Class - I,II), Science (Class - III,IV,V), Social Studies (Class - III,IV,V), Computer Studies and Arts Education.
Here I am going to discuss only about the Mathematics section (Because this is what I was looking for). So, in primary school level CISCE curriculum Mathematics contents these following major themes -
1, Arithmetic (Numbers, Number Operations, Playing with Numbers, Negative Numbers)
2. Geometry
3. Mensuration (Measurement)
4. Statistics (Data Handling)
5. Patterns
And this is what I have got from the above geometry section, which is the most valuable contents in the entire curriculum for me -

"Dutch Mathematicians Dina van Heile- Geldof and Pierre Marie Heile clubbed the learning of geometry for a child in five stages:
Stage 0: Visualisation includes recognition and naming of shapes.
Stage 1: Analysis, includes describing the attributes of shapes.
Stage 2: Informal Deduction i.e. classifying and generalizing by attributes.
Stage 3: Deduction to develop proofs using axioms and definitions.
Stage 4: Rigor, generate proofs using various methods."

This is a very effective methods and this is how any children learn geometry in their early stages. I didn't know about this facts before. This is totally new information to me.

And not to mention but this situation is proving once again that no books, no contents are useless. Every books in the world have something worthy, valuable knowledge to give.

Thanks.

My after reading opinion (September 22, 2017):- Body flexibility is must for any athletes. It is essential for any fitness trainer, any ordinary person who want to fit. But unfortunately now a days people are focusing more on other exercises such as cardio exercise, weight training etc. and giving less importance to flexibility training. Though flexibility training like yoga, stretching, pilates etc. are as important as other exercises.

I am doing yoga since I was in middle school. And right now I am deciding to include another one (Stretching) into my workout schedule. Though I think yoga is the best way to increase body flexibility, but that doesn't mean others (Stretching, Pilates etc.) are not so effective. Instead those are very effective way to get great flexibility in a short period of time. Also it is good to do some varieties, instead of doing the same thing.

That's why I have read this awesome book on "Stretching". This book is great for anyone from beginners to advance trainer. And the best part is it gives in depth explanation of anatomy, physiology of our different body parts. It's clearly showing which body muscles will be effected for doing which exercise.

And last but not least the book is full of great colourful illustrations of anatomical body parts with major muscles names.

[Book 9] High-Intensity Interval Training by Sean Bartram

Serial No.- 9
High-Intensity Interval Training

Category:-Non-Fiction (4. Health & Fitness / 11. Sports & Games)

Book :- High-Intensity Interval Training

Author:- Sean Bartram

Written in:- English

Published by:- Penguin Random House LLC

Published on:- 2015

No. of Pages:- 243

My after reading opinion (September 02, 2017):- HIIT training is the key of all cardio exercise. I have done lots of steady state cardio exercise before such as - jogging, skipping, swimming, cycling etc. But I was unaware about this amazing cardio called HIIT or High-intensity interval training. This was totally new word to me. Anyhow, now I came in touch with this and I wanted to know more about HIIT exercise. So, I pick up this wonderful book named "High-Intensity Interval Training" by Sean Bartram and start reading.

So, What is HIIT or High-Intensity Interval Training?
According to Sean Bartram "High-intensity interval training, or HIIT, has exploded in recent years due to its promise of an efficient and effective way to meet fitness goals. Different trainers and instructors approach HIIT in different ways, but at its core, HIIT should always involve alternating short intervals of high intensity, all-out exercise with short intervals of rest or active recovery."
Advantages:-
  1. HIIT is great both for quick fat loss and cardiovascular endurance as it burn fat fast also it makes your heart and lungs very strong.
  2. It's good both for professional athletes and also any person who wants to be fit, loose fat, look shaped and wants strong cardiovascular health.
  3. The most beautiful part of this exercise is you don't need to spend hours at the gym to achieve your desire goals. It takes relevantly less time than traditional steady state cardio exercise.
  4. You can start HIIT anywhere such as home or garden or any playground.
  5. You don't have to spend lots of money to purchase expensive gym equipments to do workout as HIIT requires almost no equipments.

Special Bonus:- THE “AFTER BURN” EFFECT
Not only will you burn calories and fat during your HIIT workout, you will also burn calories and fat following your workout through the “after burn” effect, or EPOC (excess postexercise oxygen consumption). EPOC is the measurable increased rate of oxygen intake following strenuous activity intended to erase the body’s oxygen debt.
In order to erase the oxygen debt, fatty acids are released and used as fuel for recovery. You cannot take advantage of this after burn by doing low-intensity exercise. Only by working anaerobically at maximal heart rate will you see this added fat loss effect. EPOC has been shown to last over 48 hours.

And, this book describes everything very clearly with lot's of colourful pictures. The author included Dynamic Stretching as warm up, which is great. He divided HIIT routines into three different levels according to the difficulty level. Also, he categorized so many unique exercises into four groups, such as - cardio, upper body, core and lower body. After reading the book I came to know so many useful HIIT exercises, what I didn't know before and I wish to include HIIT in my workout schedule soon.

Thank you.
